This August 16th, we are hosting as our very special guest speaking Mr. Tony Watson from Robert Hall & Associates. Tony is a tax consultant with particular expertise in minimizing taxes paid by real estate investors.
With the recent changes to our tax code, many are confused as to how it affects them. At our next meeting, Tony will take a look at how this tax reform can impact those of various incomes who are in real estate. He’ll discuss:
- How much tax is due, based on income for: individual taxpayers, married individuals filing joint returns, married filing separately, & heads of household
- Changes to the standard deduction
- C Corporation tax rate changes
- Pass-through income corporations
- State & local income tax
- Mortgage interest deduction
We also have a good portion of our meeting devoted towards networking and meeting others who are interested in commercial real estate investing.
