Open Q&A

Speaker Bios:
Ted Manahan is a full-time real estate investor who is using his project management and engineering backgrounds to build a better business so he can find and create some of the best deals in the bay. He grew up in the Midwest, and has worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies in the automotive and Solar industries, including Toyota, GE, NRG.

Having a passion for growth and knowledge, and a strong independent spirit, RE investing called to him when he finally realized that he was never going to be happy working for others. So, he started sharpening his people skills and going to REI Meetups. He quit the corporate world to work for himself full-time in May 2017, then founded Intentional Property Solutions LLC the following year.

It didn't take long for him to realize that doing this business for real was going to require his best, and that his best came out when he collaborated with like-minded people where relationships were built on shared values and mutual respect.

Jason has been a full-time RE investor since 2017. He has had an entrepreneur mindset and has worked towards financial independence from a young age. Jason believes that he developed this fixation after observing both the freedom that came with entrepreneurship and the challenges that a lack of money brings.

After studying mechanical engineering and before getting into real estate, he worked as a professional software developer and also collaborated as a co-founder on two tech startup projects, thinking that was the best path to reach his goals. After a number of years and not making much progress, a long-time real estate investor friend turned Jason on to flipping and wholesaling.

Jason got started door knocking on pre-foreclosures in 2017 and has since continued to build his skills and business. It occurred to him early on that he could use his technical background as a competitive advantage in the real estate world and plans to continue to incorporate software to scale and automate his business.
