Don't think you can build affordable housing in NWA? There is a group of investors, non-profits, builder/developers and community leaders who have done just that - and gotten it approved!
It's a small parcel - around 13 acres and has incorporated several multi-use features. Designed to emphasize green space, water features and community gardens, it is one example of what we may all be building in the future.
Project managers will present discuss how it happened, including:
- Overview of the plan
- How the joint venture came together
- Ownership considerations
- Determining the mix: multi-family, commercial, green space
- Permit process
- Timeline for completion
