Are you curious about the land use rules around building and expanding multifamily properties in Los Angeles? Perhaps you want to add some units to an existing property - or build a new project, ground up?

Our guest for this month's meetup is Stephen Weaver, Esq. Mr. Weaver is a real estate attorney, whose practice focuses on zoning and development issues in Los Angeles.

Stephen will be discussing discretionary land use approvals (i.e. those where approval from the city government is required). Stephen will share the sorts of projects which require discretionary approval, the appeals process, and some strategies for handling these sorts of projects.

Stephen is the founder of Weaver Land Law. He is also a former president of the Santa Monica Bar Association, and participates in numerous professional and civic organizations.
