Airbnb advance notice under calendar availability

Hi All,

I was curious what others choose to set their "advance notice" settings within the Airbnb calendar. It defaults to same day, but I could see how this could cause some issues. I'm wondering if its safer to set to "At least one day".

Any thoughts or opinions would be most welcome.

Bill

Bill, I think that it depends on your property.  I have a few that can be cleaned in 1-2 hours, so I allow same-day bookings.  A couple others, it takes 3-4 hours to do a thorough cleaning, so if guests checkout at 11am the window to turn around the place by 3pm is tight and if there's any unexpected cleaning, you could run into problems.  After guests book, I always ask them when they expect to arrive.  Most have already booked their flights, so they respond right away.  If they tell me 7pm or something like that, a same-day clean is possible.  Hope this helps.
