Starting as a Remote Co-Host – Advice & Recommendations?
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m starting my remote co-hosting and focusing on managing short-term rentals in Florida. I currently split my time between the UK and Costa Rica, so I’m fully remote in this business.
I’d love to hear from experienced co-hosts—how did you find your first properties? What worked (and what didn’t) when reaching out to hosts? I also want to make sure I’m approaching property owners the right way, so any tips on what to avoid when pitching my services would be super helpful!
Additionally, do you think masterclasses or training programs are worth the investment? If you’ve taken one that genuinely helped you grow, I’d love to hear your recommendations.
Looking forward to learning from you all—thanks in advance for any insights!

Hey there Amy! That’s exciting — remote co-hosting can be such a flexible and rewarding business. For finding my first properties, word of mouth and local networking worked well, plus reaching out to hosts on Airbnb with personalized messages.
When pitching, focus on how you’ll add value (like boosting reviews or optimizing pricing) and avoid coming off too salesy. Authenticity goes a long way!
As for masterclasses, they can be great if you pick one with practical, up-to-date strategies. Just be sure to research reviews first.
Wishing you all the best on your co-hosting journey! I'd be happy to connect for more ideas!
