Travel Nurses short Term Rental
Hello everyone!
I own a four-plex, and one of the units is currently furnished but unoccupied. I used to live in it while house hacking, but I’ve since moved out. I’m considering turning it into a furnished short-term rental instead of getting rid of the furniture.
I’ve heard that renting to travel nurses can be a good option. Has anyone had success with this? If so, where do you typically list your units? I’d also appreciate any general tips for listing and managing short-term rentals.
Thanks in advance!

One of the investors that buys SubTo properties from me is a Nurse. (He makes great money in his specialty, so selling him SubTo properties is much less worrisome than selling to someone with no money, he's already bought two in Phoenix this year) so, yes they make good money and usually get a per diem for lodging.
I asked him that same question and he said it's a great fit as long as each Traveling Nurse has their own bathroom. You put a small refrigerator, a small hotplate or microwave and a coffee maker in each room being used for Traveling Nurses. Make a small "kitchen". The property has to be close enough to the hospital that they can get there easily and safely. A lot of these are late night shifts so take that into mind. Most bring their cars with them so they need parking.
