Vacation Rental (AirBnB/VRBO) New Restrictions - Huntsville AL

The Huntsville AL City Council is putting out new licensing and zoning restrictions that appear to be affecting whole-home AirBnB and VRBO owners in Huntsville negatively. Initial responses to owners who've been down to update their licenses restricts non-owner-occupied properties to R2B zoning. An area group of owners are putting heads together to go back to the City to make a case for better options. Interested owners here, please find the North Alabama Vacation Rental Owners group (on Facebook or Meetup) to join the discussion. Next face to face meeting is Wednesday, May 9, 6:00pm in a 2nd floor meeting room at the Huntsville Public Library (Main).

This will happen in every metropolitan area eventually. If you’re short term renting in an inner city make sure it’ll cash flow when you have to put long term tenants in it and then you can stop working so hard :)
