When your selecting mattress types for your STR, (Florida Panhandle 2 blocks to the beach) what type of mattress are using when it comes to softness to firm?

@Lisa Graesser, the mattress doesn't really require the topper. I put the topper on to extend the life the mattress and it adds a nice soft surface that can take some abuse. With the Serta cover, things really are going well. The toppers I get are the Big One's from Kohls. When they are on sale, you can get them for around $20 for a queen and $25 for a king.
I considered them sacrificial, but they are like new. The Serta Black topper is at Costco and runs about $40. It is really thick and is also like new.
No matter what mattress, I really recommend a topper and a good padded cover. We are going on 4 years now and the mattresses still sleep like new. No real sagging or anything.
