First time SoCal STR buyer help
Hello my name is Collin, I am in the process of learning about short term rentals and trying to find my first one to buy. Areas i am interested in are big bear lake, lake arrowhead, and possibly lake havasu since its close. The biggest thing i have noticed is the amount of air bnbs and wondering if its still profitable to buy in these areas? Also buying right now in a high market make its seem difficult. Any advice from people who own STR would be greatly appreciated.

If there is competition, there is demand. Run your numbers, get creative on how to differentiate (decor, location, amenities, target market etc...)
