I am currently listed to sell with a known realtor in my area. I was just wondering if I can use a different realtor for my next purchase who is more known to have a better understanding in real estate investing and can guide me better.
Or do i have to use my current realtor to make an offer on my next purchase?
@Shawna Gray , you can use 2 brokers as long as you don't sign any exclusive agreements. However, building a good relationship with one broker might be beneficial for you in the future.
Often you get a packaged deal. You do whatever you want.
Realtors cannot make any sort of contract for future transactions. You most likely have an exclusive listing agreement but that only applies to the listing. Use whoever you want for future transactions.
I am not an agent but I see people use 2 all the time.
It is case by case. Are you selling one home and the purchase is contingent on this sale? If so, if it is in the same area that can be a tough presentation for the Seller of property #2. Otherwise the choice is up to you.
