Hello BP locals!

Hi BiggerPockets! Apologies if this is the wrong forum. My wife and I are new to the Highlands Ranch area and have really fallen for the community. We're currently renting but have decided to purchase a home within the next two or three months. I feel at this point it would be better off for me to be paying into a home in a place I have no intention of leaving as opposed to renting.

I'm also looking to do buy-and-hold properties over the next few months, depending on how much capital my home purchase ties up. I've been looking around the local market, but not being familiar with it I'm considering making my initial purchases from where I moved. I have a good support structure there through friends and family so while riskier than keeping it local, I would be confident in the property being looked after.

Our goal is long-term. I hope to connect with other locals who can help me understand the Colorado market and develop lasting business relationships. I'll be watching the forums and try making it to one of the meetups. Looking forward to it!

Hi @Ronnie Kendrick, welcome to Highlands Ranch! I've lived here going on 15 years. I lived in LIttleton before that so I am very knowledgeable about the area. It's a great community, we love it. What part of Highlands Ranch are you living in? Give me a call or shoot me text and let's grab a beer or a coffee sometime. I'd be happy to help anyway I can. I've got some great resources that can help you figure out what the best course of action is for you. Cheers!
