Two college students looking to get first wholesale contract

Hello Bigger Pockets community, my friend and I are seniors enrolled  in the business school at Colorado State University. We are looking to get into real estate investing. Being college students we don't exactly have any real disposable income after paying fixed expenses. Naturally we have done a lot of research and stumbled across wholesaling. We are very interested in pursuing the wholesaling route to get ourselves started, and eventually be able to use those funds to break into real estate investing. We are looking for local wholesalers or investors with knowledge/experience in wholesaling to help us get started and navigate the legalities involved. If possible we were hoping to possibly shadow someones deal to see the step by step process.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
