Newbie looking at 4-6 apt purchase in southwest Cleveland suburbs

Glad to be here! I am looking at purchasing 4-6 unit apt building WEST side or Southwest suburban only. Examining properties and need to learn to crunch the numbers well and avoid, no rather have an eye out for pitfalls. Anyone n my area? Advice, opinions, and all 2 cent comments are welcome and appreciated. Lets have a lively discussion. Is this a good idea as a newbie to jump iri to the current market? Anybody have tips on how to know right away when you are looking at a good deal that is worth investigating further. Looks like lots of good stuff to buyjout there to me with my newbie eyes , but my next stepd is to learn how to evaluate a good deal and identify a good rental market area. I am hping to learn much from the info here and also hope to be able to offer much back in the future and make many friends. Thanks everyone
