Welcome to BP! I highly recommend leveraging this site as best you can. Learn about key words, and set them up. Meet people in the area you're looking to invest in. And ask questions like you are.

Firstly, you don't have to know everything before you start, but knowing enough to save you from making a bad investment is a good goal. I recommend you learn how to analyze a deal and start consistently analyzing deals in Cleveland to see if you can find some examples of good deals.

As for knowing the market, this article: https://www.biggerpockets.com/... is a great starting point. Everything above and beyond that will come down to your agent's knowledge of the area.

If you have any other questions, shoot me a message and I'll be happy to help. Best of luck!
