Advice for beginner

Hello,

I am an entrepreneur with 10 years experience in my (non RE) field. I’ve ran my business for 1.5 years and am thus far profitable.

It has always been my dream to own a rental property. I understand getting a mortgage as a self-employed person can be difficult. Does anyone out there have any experience or advice, obtaining a rental property mortgage as a entrepreneur?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Tom

Hi Welcome Tom to BP. Being self employed has some challenges but its not impossible to get pre approved. We actually work with many self employed borrowers and real estate investors. There are so many creative financing options it just depends on what your goal is and your personal finances. Feel free to message me if you would like to connect and go over some strategies on how to qualify as self employed.
