Aiming to get into investing & developing

Hey everyone! I’ve been interested in real estate investing and following Bigger Pockets for a couple years now. Figured I’d say hello.

I live in Boston, MA and work in Providence, RI in affordable housing (development financing), which has really helped develop my interest in real estate. I’m interested in both investment and development. I hope to invest, probably in multifamily, at some point in the next few years, so I want to get more involved in things in the meantime. Long term, I hope to start a development company, focusing on mixed-use and multifamily projects, with a climate and New Urbanist bent.

I’d love to talk with people in the MA and RI area. Honestly, I’m posting first with the hopes of networking and developing some connections with people who actually do what I want to do, who may be able to give me some advice and a view of what it’s really like. I’d love to do a little shadowing, get the lay of the land beyond just running numbers, potentially find deals for others, maybe someday have the opportunity to partner, and generally get to know the for-profit RE world.

Hi @Connor Morrow I've been active in RI real estate since 2003 and would be happy to connect. I also recommend the RI Real Estate Investors Group which meets monthly on the third Thursday in Warwick, as a great place to build your network with more RI real estate investors 😀
