Hi! - I'm new here!
Hey everyone! So happy to join this community I discovered the bigger pockets podcast about a month ago and I can't get enough, I'm learning so much and I'm eager to keep it going! My partner and I both owned our homes before we decided to move in together and both these properties are now our rentals. That was out start. It's funny though, it made sense as a smart financial decision, but I hadn't considered it "my business" until now! What a mindset shift! I can't wait to invest more, create passive income, grow my equity and get to know all you fine people!

@Christina Greaves welcome to BP. If you own 2 rentals you are already ahead of many if not most people here congratulations. We're here to help you grow.

Good to meet you, welcome to the community! We are all here to help :)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
A quick update from me: I finished reading a couple of books and I'm now a lot more clear on what our long term plan is and the short term steps I need to take!
Our focus for the next few months to a year is to find a property locally, in the town we live in, which we want to turn into a short term rental for outdoor enthusiasts (we live close to a popular ski destination and there's a lot of mountain biking/hiking/camping activity during the summer time) and it so happens that this area is underserved for lodging options! We're probably going to focus on finding a good deal on a Single Family Home or a Duplex, as we want to have the flexibility to turn it back into a long term rental if needed.
I want to learn more about estimating rehab costs, because I think we'll be taking a BRRRR approach on this one, since at the moment we're house rich but cash poor! :D
I've already seen some properties that could be interesting (on foreclosure.com) but before that my immediate next steps are networking! - So, I'm going to tap into this community to start building my team!
I'm so excited!!
