First time investor looking at Houston metro area

Hi everyone....glad to have become serious about investing in rental real estate property.  I'm currently in the northeast but come to the Houston area often due to family and after many years of analysis paralysis I am ready to make the leap.  I am reading Dave Meyer's book Start With Strategy and appreciate the breakdown of information.  I am looking to make my first purchase this year...preferably a single-family or duplex.  I'm familiar with Katy and Fort Bend but also would love to learn about other areas such as Spring and Cypress.

Please feel free to say hello and I look forward to learning from all the members here

Welcome to BP! Lots of good opportunities in HTX especially with the investor friendly zoning (or lack thereof).
