New to REI and Forums Vernon from Omaha
Hello, I am Vernon Campbell and I decided to get into real estate investing by buying, fixing and selling properties here in the Omaha and surrounding areas. I am retired from the Army and I currently work 40 hours a week at Offutt AFB Nebraska. I have always wanted to get into fixing distressed property to resale for a profit ever since I watched "This Old House" and "Home Time". I have decided to jump into it now since my children have moved out and started their own careers. My wife and I have been looking at a few properties and have even placed a bid on one. Unfortunately it was rejected. We are out again to look for another. I am interested in getting to know other folks with the same interests. I also want to note I have never been on a forum/blog before. I am learning this at the same time so please bear with me if I seem to be slow at responding or maybe I am messing something up hopefully not.
