Hello,

My name is Andrew and I am working on expanding my real estate portfolio.  I have a successful full-time career investing in agriculture, water and renewable energy in California and Australia, but am also very interested in furthering my personal real estate portfolio.

My brother introduced me to the world of Podcasts and I have been extensively listening to BP (which led me to this website) and also the Real Estate Guys.  My investing interests revolve around real assets and extend beyond real estate into precious metals.

I have had some success investing in SFHs in Palmdale and Lancaster CA, picking up properties between 2010-12, using leverage, that are rented out and generating positive cash flow.  Those markets have experienced significant price appreciation since that time, providing me with much improved equity positions in my properties.  Rents have not kept up with prices, though, and I feel that my added equity is not working for me.  My immediate goal is to figure out a strategy to put that equity to work.  I am considering pulling cash out via refinancing or selling the properties outright so that I may move the equity into something that is generating a better return.  Commercial real estate has my interest and I'm currently investigating the areas along the Expo Line and Crenshaw Line in Los Angeles.

I'm excited to be part of a community and learn from the experience of others.

Cheers
