Newbie looking to invest in Knoxville TN
Hello, I just joined the site and have enjoyed listening to the podcasts for a few months. I'm a newbie with 1 residential rental in Orlando and a partnership in an office building in the UK. I live in the Leesburg VA area (suburb of Washington DC) but am interested in investing in the Knoxville TN market. I grew up there and still have family there, although I haven't lived there in about 20 years. Any advice is appreciated -- looking forward to getting the most out of the site!

Sometimes figuring out what you want to do is more than half the battle, so congrats on having a gameplan!
Is your family in Knoxville willing to drive my addresses and other minor involvement to help you to see if your memories about neighborhoods and such are still accurate?
As far as the site goes, my advice is to set up key word alerts, stay active in the forums, and invite local investors to face-to-face meetings.
