Hi, All!

I have been lurking on Bigger Pockets for quite some time and decided it was finally time to sign up.

A little about me. I am real estate investor and managing partner (co-owner) of an real estate investment company known as Wellington Group Real Estate Investments, LLC. In hindsight, I wish my partner and I would have come up with a name that was not quite that long.

I have been investing since 2002 and first started out as a flipper. About a year ago, my partner and I changed our business plan and decided to go more into buy and hold, i.e. landlording. Currently we have about 15 properties which are a mix of single families and two-flats (Chicago slang for a duplex or two-unit). While I do live in the Chicago area, I actually invest outside of the Chicagoland. We have a pretty aggressive acquisition strategy planned for the next 2 years, so that current 15 property mark will leap during the course of 2008.

Lastly, I am the cofounder of a website called REI Events, which is real estate investment on-line calendar and scheduling tool.
