New Guy - South of Boston

Hi Everybody,

I'm here!  I know, I know, don't everybody get too excited...  These introductions are a dime a dozen, but I wanted to put myself out there and say hello.

My name is Steven Tierney.  I'm a 30 something guy who has good DIY skills, I work full time as a Landscape Architecture Project Manager at a firm in Boston, MA and (like everybody else) I'm interested in real estate investing.

Other than purchasing a 125 year old Victorian as my primary residence and rehabbing it for 5 years, I have no actual real estate investing experience.  Did I learn a lot rehabbing an old house?  Yes.  Did my wife and I sell that house to move on to bigger and better things back in July of last year?  Yes.

While my wife, daughter and I temporarily live in a small apartment, we're searching for a new primary residence, and at the same time I'm stalking the internet for deals, and "Driving for Dollars" for investment properties.

I think because of my experience professionally as a Project Manager, and my passion for DIY projects and woodworking, I believe I'm well suited for being a Rehabber.  That being said, like 1000s of other people on here, I'm here to learn first and foremost.  I also look forward to meeting those of you that are nearby at one of the many local meetups, and I'll continue to lurk around the forums here.

Have a great day!
