Hello  My name is Michael (Mike for short). I am a 24 year old, and currently working for a Big 4 accounting Firm in Center City although I live in a township outside of Philadelphia. While paying off student and Car loans, I am saving for my first property. I do not have much experience in real estate, but I am a quick learner. If anyone can provide some insight or advice on how to gain more education and part time experience into Real Estate especially about rental properties being a landlord (either residential or commercial). I really believe Real Estate is necessary for my long term wealth growth and provide relatively stable streams of income.

    @Michael Gabrieli

    Welcome. You and I have relatively opposite commutes (I live in CC and work outside KOP).

    Here's where I would start (or did start?): learn enough that you're semi knowledgable in the field (BP ultimate beginners guide should be sufficient), I would listen to the podcasts whenever you're able to. But most importantly, once you've got a vague idea of what you're looking to do, get out and start meeting people. Go to the next REIA meeting and start talking people. For me, that was the catalyst that took me from learning to doing.

    Otherwise, connect with locals here and network outside of BP, see what they're doing, and how they're doing it.

    That said, connect/PM me if you want to grab a bite one of these days!
