DC Metro Newbie

Greetings Everyone,

My name is Cooki and I'm from the DC metro area. I don't have any experience in real estate investing, but I'm jumping the pool anyway. Being clueless, I believe I want to master wholesaling before moving into flipping. 

I'm looking for good local REIAs, I'd enjoy meeting some like minded people. So, if you have any suggestions, let me know. Although I'm based out of MoCo, I am often in DC and Anne Arundel.

I do have one question, is it worth to get a agent's license? I'm not opposed to it, just wondered if it is worth it.
