New to investing and Bigger Pockets

Hello All!

Just want to introduce myself, my name is Adrian Rivas I'm from Miami, FL and I am 20 years old. I come from a family that has thrived in the real estate market here in Miami, both residential and commercial (mostly commercial). My reason for joining here is as follows. My family isn't in the business of giving handouts, nor should they be. I want to earn everything I receive, and in order to do that I need to gain experience in the subject. I have an obsessive type of personality so when I want to learn something, I learn it, and learn it well. This seemed like the best place to start that learning process, and I'm extremely excited to take in all of the knowledge and experienced the members here can impart on me. If anyone could point in the proper direction of where to get started that would be fantastic. Also, if there's anyone from the Miami area seeing this, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the issue of getting started, any do's and dont's.
