Hi I'm Chris.  I ve been listening to biggerpockets podcast for the past month or so, but this is my first visit to the forums.  I'm excited to become more actively involved in the community here.  

I am new to real estate investing - before I went to law school I was a real estate agent on the side in Manhattan.  I've gone to some real estate-related meetups in Manhattan and I've been looking in/around NYC, Jersey City, central New Jersey and Monmouth County, New Jersey area for the past year for multi-units (live in and rent) or hold and rent places.  I'm still trying to sort through what niche I'd like to focus on.  During the day I'm a lawyer (some transactional and some litigation).
