I'm currently employed in another industry, but interested in investing in rental properties to add to my income.  In the long run I hope to have rental income enable me to quit my job, but since I'm new to this, am looking to assess over the next two years if this is a viable option for me.  My partner is a general contractor and small property manager, and will be partnering with me on deals.
