Hello. My name is Jerrod and I'm a novice but aspiring real estate investor from the New Orleans area. I've just begun to get my feet wet in this area of investing, but am thrilled to have come across a site as informative and inviting as BiggerPockets. To date my only experience in real estate was purchasing my current home as a foreclosure through a FHA 203K loan that allowed me to do a fairly extensive remodel. Though stressful and frustrating at times, I felt I gained a good bit of knowledge in the process and now I'm at a point in my life where I have a desire to learn more about this industry.

I'm currently trying to educate myself on the many facets of real estate investing and Bigger Pocket's forums and podcast have been monumental in this.  My initial plan is to pursue the wholesaling side, with the eventual goal of doing multiple deals a month.  From there, I'd like to move into fix and flip and buy and hold to supplement my income.   

I've just joined the New Orleans REIA group and hope to network with many like minded people to continue my learning process. I'm excited about the journey, and know BP will be a huge part of that process and a great asset to grow with.
