I am sick and tired of my job. I've been with my company for 20 years, living paycheck thru paycheck. I want to change my life badly and that's why I went to 3 days seminar with Foretunebuilder in Minneapolis. Introductory to his company cost me $197 and if I want to be his follower and accept him as my mentor for 1 year for $34000 or 6 months for $25000.

I did not want to gamble all of my family's saving for this education. I don't know if I made the right decision. I am trying to get a real estate license, reading books about investing, searching all over the Internet for anything relates to real estate investing. Any advice you pro give it me, I'll appreciate.

I didn't even read the other posts to answer this.

Why do you think these gurus are out there? To part a fool from his money! (Not calling you a fool) but people do very foolish things.

You probably paid $197 for a 3 day sales pitch with under the radar hype, fluff and puffing.

The Realtor course will teach you real estate, from that you can learn every strategy that is known to man kind that is legal for free or very little cost. And, you can find illegal and unethical practices for free too.

High priced gurus play on dreams, the world is full of discouraged unsuccessful people all wanting a better life.

In any career, the money tree begins with seeds, knowledge, if you get good seeds you will get good fruit, if you get bad seeds you can have poisonous fruit. All seeds develop roots, the better you understand the seeds and the root system the better your tree will be.

You financial position so far is due to the choices you have made along the way. Have they been good decisions?

If you think not, that means a change needs to be made in your decision making, who you listen to matters. You need to develop a good BS Meter, the only way to do that is through a good education so you can understand the difference between right and wrong, fluff and good information, hype and reality. This is true in any industry, but especially true in real estate!

No one guarantees your success! What you learn matters, it's not easy, but it's not hard either. Poisonous fruit can kill you, poor information loaded with hype can kill your business too.

There are wolves in those woods, if you go in there you better be armed with a good BS Meter and conventional knowledge, not schemes, those are wolves in a red hood with a cape.

Want to make your life different? Get a conventional education, that doesn't come from any guru. :)
