Beginner in Austin Texas

Good afternoon BP! I come to you from the great state of Texas! I work full time (weekends) as a CNC machinist and part time investor. I am not a complete noob to the concepts of investing, but I am when it comes to REI. I am currently working towards purchasing my first RE project. My goals and personal skills point me towards the buy and flip and or hold side of things. If anyone on BP has any experience in the central Texas area (Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Leander) I would love to pick your brain and possibly bounce some ideas off of you.
