Hi my name Jabari. I'm new to investment properties. I'm looking to do rental properties to start off. My focus right now on multi family homes but I would like to get into big rental buildings. I haven't done my first deal yet, but I am currently looking at a three family house with tenants already. I have somebody I'm working with that's currently in the business investment properties help me out. I found out about bigger pockets from when I was doing my research online. I can cross the YouTube channel. I been watching the YouTube channel now for the last year and a half but really wasn't ready to jump in yet. With this website and the forms I'm hoping to come across some great people that I can network with and expand my knowledge and learn more. So I can become really successful at real estate. really excited and really wanted to do this for quite some time now. My main focus at this time is the Newark New Jersey area and East Orange area

Hi @Jabari Mofford,

Welcome to BP and you are from my old neighborhoods. After reviewing your pm above. Best move is to buy up to a 4 Unit via FHA owner occupied. Get in the game as a owner and landlord with as low as 3.5% Down up to 6% Seller Assist and can use even gift money. That direction will get you going toward the portfolio over time and get into bigger properties since someone else will be paying your overhead.

Any questions let me know.

Regards,
