New member "in" Wisconsin (from Michigan)

I entered Wisconsin as my location but that is not technically true yet. I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. I am graduating this May and have accepted a position in Green Bay, WI.

I plan to start investing in real estate after I begin working. I plan to start with buy and hold investments as my position will involve large amounts of travel with short notice. I would like to start investing in some multi-family properties. I feel this will be the best way for me to begin building wealth after graduation.

I currently have one investment property that I inherited in SE Michigan. It is some undeveloped tillable land that I rent to a farmer. After I relocate to Green Bay I plan to sell the property (using a 1031 Exchange) to finance my first multi-family investment.
