Hi Everyone,

I've been a member of this site for 1.5 years and I don't think I've ever posted on the forums.  However, I need to get out of the dreaming stage and get to doing!

I have very limited experience with investing in real estate.  In 2006 I purchased an investment property, held for two years and sold in 2008, as prices were starting to decline.  I has a horrid time with tenants, but did manage to make a little money on the sale of the property.  I don't claim that any skill was involved in that deal being successful.

My only other real estate experience is purchasing the house I currently live in.

While I live in California, I want to invest across the country in Virginia.  I'm sure that this distance is not going to make things any easier, but money goes farther there and I am wanting to relocate there if I can generate enough income to leave the software job.  I'm interested in multifamily investing to start.

I am a newb and am here to learn.  But I feel that I am in a bit of a "learn a bit more but never do" rut.  I recently watched the multifamily investing webcast, which came at a perfect time, as I was trying to figure out what to do next.

-Andy
