Newbie from Ft Worth Texas

Greetings, been lurking for a year + now, replied every now and then but never did this official introduction. 

My name is Thurman Schweitzer been here in Fort Worth since the 80's and watched the city grow. I recently purchased and renovated my first SFR in the Bomber Heights area of Fort Worth. (Inside loop on west side near Benbrook)

I am funded this purchase w/ my SDIRA thanks to @Brian Eastmanfor his help getting it going.  Found the house from a fried of a friend that heard I was looking for rentals in the area.  Spend the last 3 months get the house back in shape, prior owner had lots of unfinished project, including a kitchen he took back to the studs.

Through a friend found a local property manger and should hit the rental market on this coming Monday, he suggested a rent about $100 than I expected so immediate upside, yea!

I am going to let this soak in a few months but assume I will go again prefer a duplex but will explore more SFR in that area.

I listen to the podcasts regularly and was thinking this time next year follow the BRRRR method and cash out refinance and start building!
