Hello everyone! My name is Jason, I am new to bigger pockets and new to real estate in general. I'm on bigger pockets to get to get to know all of you and learn as much as I can about real estate investing. I'm interested in buy/ hold and fix and flip strategies. I have experience in architectural design and engineering. I'm currently saving as much as I can so I can get started. I'm looking to buy a multi family home as my first purchase, hoping to use the BRRR strategy to get going in the right direction. I look forward to meeting and networking with all of you.

If you're investing in the CT/NY market, I just wanted to ask how you are making out and how you got started in real estate investing? Is the market doing better in anyway? Is it more of a buying market or renting market?

Welcome Jason,

I am doing well with investing. quit my J.O.B last December and am Investing full time. I am doing flips and have a couple MF rentals. I got started by renting out a room in my house to a friend  in 2005 or so then bought a 3 family and lived in a unit there while I rented out the single and the other units. I was young and dumb back in those days and made about every mistake in the book. I got discouraged for many years and am finally back in the game with more knowledge and experience. Nothing can hold me back now! 

I have friends in the Seymour area and will be helping them get their first investment property soon.

Feel free to ask any questions or throw numbers at me. I have a passion for real estate and enjoy helping others to become financially free.
