Newbie from Washington DC metro area

Hello BP community!

I recently moved to Arlington, VA after graduating university and starting a career in the financial services industry. My family has been involved in REI since I can remember and I've spent countless weekends fixing rental properties and doing some DIY rehab.

I'm currently in the research phase of my real estate career and although my family's experience in RE lays heavily in single family homes, I am more drawn to multi-family and flipping.  I've seen a couple people have lots of success with section 8 housing in Baltimore as well so that is another area of RE I'm looking into.  I intend to use BP as a means of getting a solid foundational education in finding and analyzing deals and to form a network of investors with similar goals and interests.

I'm currently looking for a REIA to join in the area and would love suggestions!

This community has been an excellent resource thus far and I'm excited to dive in!

Hi! @Martin Yamane Welcome to DMV and BP.

There are some good REI groups in this area that are truly focused on networking and leaning from each other. No marketing.
