New member from California Looking to learn
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself a bit. My names Daniel and I currently live in San Diego, CA. I am currently a student, and have no experience in real estate. I have a family member who has been looking to buy a house, and having no one else in my family with experience they came to me to search for information and in doing so I found BiggerPockets and came to grow a pretty big interest in the idea of real estate investing.
I am mainly here to learn, absorbing as much as possible to prepare me for distance and not so distance investment opportunities. Having my family to think of, I can't claim to have much to offer a bank to buy property, but I have been tinkering with creative financing and weighing options. I was hoping there was some sort of chat function to bounce ideas off people.
short term I plan on house hacking with a partner, and long term owning multiple rental units. given my situation I am looking outside of california as well; Colorado preferably, but also other west coast states such as nevada
