Looking to learn real estate investing

Hello,

My name is Jevon Wooden and I have been interested in real estate investing for some time now. I have been reading a lot but I am ready to turn the information into action. I am looking to not only learn, but also contribute from joining the Bigger Pockets community. Although I live in NYC, I am open to investing in other markets. I know very little about investing, as I understand that owning a home is a lot different.
