Hi BP members. I have been in this community for about a month now and i think its about time for me to introduce myself. My name is Ed. Im trying to educate myself in real estate specially on buy and hold properties. I have been listening to podcast almost everyday going to work and going home probably at least 70 podcast so far. I would also like to thank Josh Dorkin and Brandon Turner for making this wonderful website. You guys have helped so many people. Thank you. Also i would like to meet investors from New york and maybe go to a meetup place. Im planning to buy a multi family hopefully at the end of this year and plans to what they call house hack it. And do the BRRRR strategy. Thank you.

@Edwin Mendoza

BRRRR is definitely great. I'm trying to work that strategy on a duplex right now.

Are you planning on investing in Queens or somewhere else. Up state has some very affordable areas. The Governor has put some money into trying to get up state NY back on a plan of growth. Still very affordable but possibly some appreciation potential that they have not had for a looooong time.

I looked pretty close at Rochester, Utica, and Albany and they all look to have some good potential.
