Hello,

My name is Mike and I'm a new member from Virginia. My goals are buying and holding rental properties. I'm a Marine Corps veteran and currently serving a Government Contract overseas. If anybody has any guidance on the market in the Hampton Roads / Richmond area of Virginia, I'll take all the insight I can get. Blessings.

@Michael Caraballo Congrats on getting started in REI and welcome to BP. I would suggest to attend as many BP webinars as you can on Wednesday evenings held by BP's @Brandon Turner.  Also, tune in to the BP podcast shows as this is a great place to hear what works and doesn't work for several different investors in different areas of REI.  Both the webinars and podcast provide a wealth of knowledge to help you get started and keep going strong!

I'm not sure about the Hampton Roads area, but have heard from some real state agents that areas such as Sandston and Highland Springs in Richmond seems to be  pretty popular buy and hold locations, but of course this is not advice, do your own due diligence on the area and home before buying.

Wishing you well in your investing!
