Hello. I am a designer, photographer and wood worker living in Wichita. In 2010 I bought my first house. It was a mess. For the first summer my wife and I slept on a mattress in the studio and lived out of a suitcase while renovating it. I do a lot of work myself but hire out plumbing, electrical, concrete, etc. I love the process of improving my property and want to get into flipping homes. I also like the idea of buy and hold to slowly build wealth. We've been looking at houses to flip or flip to rent and are seriously looking at one. I'll post about that one in another thread. We have a little toddler named Flint and another baby boy on the way who will be named Steele. He's due in April. We're so excited. That's partly why we're looking deeper into real estate. Our current house is pretty small even without the kids and we'd like to get a few more square feet. I'd like to flip a duplex and move there while renting out our current home. We've also discussed flipping a slightly bigger single family house for us and renting out our current home. If I could go back in time to when I first got my house... we all start somewhere.
