Hi all,

Just wanted to say a quick hello and introduce myself. My name is Aoife and I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I recently came across BiggerPockets and have been binging on the podcasts. Hoping to spend more time reading the forums now too but there is so much there, I'm not even sure where to start!

To tell you a little about my situation, I'm 30 years old and currently saving to buy my first property. Following the property crash n Dublin, things are very much on the up again and rents are high. I am currently investigating two possibilities for myself:

1) Buying a duplex or a two bed property and renting out one unit/room and living in the other myself or

2) Buying a duplex or two bed property and renting it out and living elsewhere

Having done a bit of research, I think what appeals to me at the moment is the buy and hold strategy and building passive income. I'm currently investigating options and would appreciated any insights from those in similar situations.

Anyway, that's me! Looking forward to engaging in the discussions and learning more about property investing from the ample experiences and expertise on the forum.

Thanks,

Aoife
