Hey everyone, as you can see my name is Shawn Sullivan. I am a 23 year old electrician located in Kelso, WA who is looking for more financial freedom. The best way that I have found to gain that, is through real estate. I have been binge listening to the BP podcasts at work for the past week, and have found them to be a very informative tool to gain knowledge about the business.
My goal is to flip houses and to acquire rentals to build my portfolio. Currently I am closing in on listing my current home, which has been a live in flip for me and my wife over the past two years. The market in my area is going crazy right now and my agent thinks I should be able to list the home for 125% more than what I paid for it.
I realize every deal I do will not have as much success as my first one looks like it will. But I am very excited to get this next chapter in my life started, and will welcome any advice. Thanks in advance for such a great site and community to be apart of!

@Shawn Sullivan - Welcome to BiggerPockets! We are so excited to have you and are excited for you to begin your journey in real estate investing.
My husband and I have been investing in real estate now for about 14 years and I owe a big part of our success to this website. This community is supportive and you have a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips!
The BP podcasts are such a great place to start. I also encourage new members to try and attend a local Meet Up. It is the perfect way to meet others who are working towards similar goals.
Welcome again, Shawn! I look forward to hearing more from you on future posts!
