looking to get my foot into wholesaling

Hello everyone, So for the past couple of months i've been reading posts of all kinds on this website and recently decided to take the chance on wholesaling. Currently I am in the process of obtaining my real estate license here in the city of San Diego but in the meantime I would like to get started wholesaling properties. The reason for my post today is I am looking for appraisers, and am also looking for others who are doing wholesaling here in San Diego. I want to make the necessary connections needed for this to become a possibility for me. I am ex Navy, recently go out of the military and looking to create a new career for myself. If there are any wholesalers here in the area I would love the opportunity to connect with you and hopefully have you as my mentor. If there is anything of value that I can bring to you for the opportunity I will not hesitate to fulfill that need. Thank you everyone for your time and I hope to hear from the community soon.

Welcome to BP @Anthony Hugo Ramirez

So here's the thing... don't wait to for the connections to come to you. Go to the connections.

1- finish making you BP profile... add a picture and go through the steps that they walk you through (pictures help turn you into a real person)

2- set up an alert for San Diego and surrounding areas to where you live. Quickly you'll see who are the big players in these areas

3- Reach out to everyone who posts about San Diego, add them as connections, offer to buy them coffee or a drink

4- google San Diego REIAs and join them all (most are free around me!)

5-Start door knocking -- its TOUGH to bring yourself to walk a neighborhood and knock on doors to ask if they're interested in selling their home. This is the BEST way to start if you dont have a lot of money

6- Once you're comfortable talking to people about buying their home start direct mailing. It works! (Just be sure to research what people find to work best to save yourself the most headache and $$)
