Newbie in Seattle, WA from Bellingham, WA

Hello fellow Pocketeers ,

I have been listening to BiggerPockets for a few months now, and I think that I have burned through every episode - some twice or three times, depending on the subject matter. I have finally built up the time-affordability to build an account on here to help gain others' perspectives, and maybe help out those who want a different vantage point. I don't own any real estate, and may not be purchasing for another year as I am fresh into my career at Amazon, but would love to meet a lot of you that are local or international either 1:1 in person, or online to spin the wheels and discuss on the vast knowledge base that is real estate.

I grew up and spent all my life in Bellingham, WA. For those of you who know the town, it's mostly beer, colleges, and the outdoors - also a bible software company randomly? Anyway, I went to WWU for a degree in finance but never studied real estate. I was a stubborn guy that saw everyone else taking courses on it and thought "I don't wanna run with the herd, I want to do something else" - my mistake. I took a job at Amazon in corporate finance and recently moved to the Ballard neighborhood of the city. Although I am down in Seattle, I am still studying my hometown market as it is the devil I know. Also, Seattle is currently too rich for my stomach.

If anyone out there is between Seattle and Bellingham (Brandon Turner is in Aberdeen I believe I heard?) and is interested in talking to a noob like myself, or is halfway across the country/world, I have an open door. I bring good conversation and am a sucker for stories!

Excited to be a part of the community.

Thanks!

Griffith C. Gustafson
