Newbie excited to start investing in Boise Area

Good evening everyone! Just introducing myself as I am in the education phase of real estate but also ready to make moves! I am currently living in SoCal but am moving to Boise within the next month. I am an Air Force Academy grad and bought a property in SoCal but looking to start off in Idaho to invest the money I have been saving for some time now. Happy to start off house hacking (duplex to fourplex) but I look forward to networking and working with more experienced investors for larger scale opportunities in Boise. Currently stalking the MLS.
