Intro from Longview, TX

[Leather Nix]

I'm new to BP and realized last night I hadn't introduced myself, as appears to be customary. So...

I'm Leather Nix, from East Texas, Longview specifically. Yes, my real first name is Leather...like cow hide lol. BP blocked my account at first bc they thought it was a professional name (perhaps one including a pole). Haha but I understand that assumption.

I had some rental property a few years ago, but am still very much a "newbie." I plan on delving into the fix and flip world in the next couple months. I'm actively looking at properties now.

I was a paralegal for many years and now work as a nurse, still doing legal work on a contract basis.

I've started spending, at least, an hour a day reading BP and have found a local mentor willing to hold my hand, if needed. I greatly appreciate everyone sharing their knowledge so readily. The "what would you do differently post" was probably the most enlightening so far.

I'll also be attending the local RE meetup in a couple weeks.

I look forward to talking with everyone more.
