New to REI and BP, looking at Huntsville, Alabama
Hello all! I am very excited and looking forward to learning. I am new to REI and only started to research and learn a few months ago. I am currently looking into purchasing property in Huntsville, AL. I've never been to Huntsville, but I was born and raised a little further South in Birmingham. I put over 8 years in the Air Force and ended up in the United Kingdom, currently working as an Expat with Boeing, so you can imagine I'm trying to research and learn as much as I can from afar. I do have family and friends in the Birmingham area, so asking someone to lay eyes on property isn't completely out of the question, but I do love to get as much info as I can myself. If there are any fellow investors who can give me an idea of the local area, I would be very appreciative. There is only so much you can get from statistics and demographics.
Anyways, I'm very happy and excited to be part of the BP community, and look forward to building some assets that can hopefully one day lead to financial freedom!

@Charles Self Welcome to BP! Cool you're getting into this from across the pond! I bet you can get pretty good eye's on some areas of Huntsville using Google Maps. I use that in Bham before I get in the car to go see a house ;) Good luck!
